About Me

I am an independent college admissions counselor and trained University of California application reader who helps students and families navigate the college application process with clarity and confidence.

I have worked with high school students and families on transcript review, course planning, college list development, essay development, and application strategy. My counseling work grew from years of helping students in my community navigate the admissions process. I am known for helping students present authentic, thoughtful applications that reflect their individual strengths.

As the mother of students attending UCLA and UC Davis, I also brings firsthand experience navigating the admissions process from a parent’s perspective. I recently completed UC Berkeley Extension’s Professional Program in College Admissions Consulting.

How I Help Students

  • Transcript and academic planning review

  • Course selection guidance aligned with intended majors

  • Strategic college list development

  • Activities and awards list development

  • Personal statement brainstorming and essay guidance

  • Application planning, organization, and deadline management

  • Comprehensive application review prior to submission

  • Waitlist and admissions strategy

My Approach

I believe the strongest college applications are authentic and genuinely reflect the student. My approach is personal and collaborative: I help students stay organized, identify what is distinctive about their experiences, and communicate those experiences clearly—without taking over the student’s voice.

All essays and application materials remain the student’s own work. Students receive thoughtful guidance throughout the process while developing a clear understanding of how admissions offices evaluate applications.
